Hehe, that's my motto. Of course the 4.6 Final Drive helps too. This is another reason why I'm not sure I would switch so soon...as my car really runs well. I just like how our cars are fairly similar in 'ownership'...that is, we love beating the snot out of our cars.

i'm digging the hood vent, cheap too. wonder how it would look on my zenki i'm a bit worried though cuz my car sits outside and rain will probably get into the spark plug valley.

I saw the install thread on Zilvia, but didn't know you cut it for that vent lol ~ risky! Does Mike know? Are you two still on speaking terms? =P

I was seriously considering altering the vent on my cheap-o carbon hood (it's right on top of the radiator like it should be, but I'd love it to be longer with ducting down to the radiator), but with the RB25 there's no room. Sigh.

Cody would not pay $10k to have a V8 with the same power output as his SR, with the torque curve shifter 2k rpms, who are you kidding sir...

Haha he doesn't know... It was definitely a sad moment as I cut a prefectly good, AND EXPENSIVE, hood. But it's holding up pretty good so far.

The vent is a very good addition. It helps with heat big time. You could actually see all the heat that's expelled from underneath the hood as the car is sitting idle in traffic etc. You mentioned the ideal setup, but as it sits right now I think it's effective as is, unless you're doing some hardcore racing. If you were then you could remove the radiator core support and place the radiator in a position where you could install a vent.

V8 is pretty nice. It's nice and quiet with 2 mufflers and 2 cats. The people seem to love it whenever they see my car. It's also a good feeling passing other LSx powered cars... too bad I think they were noobie drivers... feeling is still the same.

Hehe. Ultimatly speaking I'd much rather put a LSx into a FC RX7....I can't get over the 80's awesomeness of those cars.
