The little 240sx did well this past weekend and fended off Porsches, Subies, a Camaro and a 350Z in the sweltering heat. I'm still 47lbs over weight and need to adjust the cam timing to try and get more hp at higher RPM. I should have the weight removed, aluminum driveshaft installed and the cam timing adjusted for the Aug event. We'll see!

Oh yeah.....if anyone knows how to stop trans fluid leaking up through the shifter boot I'm all ears. I checked the level and sealed everything I could with silicone.

Wow, those TTU cars are fast. My friend turned a 1:30.727 at a AMA Superbike race at Mid-Ohio last time I was there. Thats was on a GSX-R 1000 with ~180whp. Congrats on the win.

I searched, but I couldn't find any lap times from when you were running TTS. Do you have any to share?

I'm thinking that when I get my car back together I'd like to run TT in the Northeast region since Pocono and NJMP are so close.

Best was 1:37.1 with a toasted VLSD on R6's at 2800lbs. The engine was never running long enough to spend the money on a proper diff. With a proper diff on A6's I think I could have gotten to a high 33. I'm hoping to get into the high 37's with the NA engine on A6's at 2550lbs.

Assuming the rubber boot on your transmission is not ripped, old and swollen, or otherwise stretched out I've had the best luck with zip tieing only the bottom of the boot to the transmission shifter housing and leaving the top not zip tied to the shift lever.

Every time I zip tie the top it ends up cutting into the boot and making it leak.

New Boots are only $7 from Nissan and stop the leakage for a long time for me.

I've gotten it not to leak without using any form of sealant and a new boot.

If the nylon socket bushing that secures the pivot portion the shift knob is old and worn replacing it might help block the fluid from working up past. Looks like the "[32850N] SOCKET ASSY-CONTROL LEVER" goes for $20.

I've recently installed a B&M short shifter and the design is much better sealed than OEM and shouldn't have any leaking issues in the long term.

It's very short throw (some might not like it) and solid feeling. The short throw and CNC precision make it a good match with long, extended shift knobs.

Pair it with a Circuit Sport Bronze shift bushing for super solid, slop free shifts.
