I love my injector dynamics. Such a difference from the crappy five0 injectors I had.

They're still just flow matched Bosch injectors...

But they seem to actually do a decent job in flow matching and characterizing them. Seems that lots of other places just toss some injectors in baggies and send them off.

                  That's my favorite tidbit.

Obviously this Paul guy who owns/does something at ID is trying to sell his stuff, but I think he puts together a pretty well reasoned argument that at least ID is doing it right, and some other players are doing it wrong.

Paul lives & works in the Phoenix, AZ area where I am, but I have never met Paul or even had an email conversation with him. I couldn't even tell you what he looks like. I do know that shop that machines their injector top hats who is also local & about a mile down the street from my day job office. The owner of that shop (who is a machine shop & dyno) speaks highly of ID, their products & quality across many vehicles that they have used them in. Additionally (IIRC) ID has a relationship with Motec ECUs where they share data for the further development for both brand products. I believe ID had to have a contract to purchase 100,000 units of the 1300CC injectors for Bosch to entertain making them. Paul is a very data oriented person if you have read much of what he has ever written & certainly seems to know his ****. T1 Race (http://www.t1racedevelopment.com/) is a business partner with ID as well. If you follow the current GTR R35 crowd or the old drag racing scene then you know Tony Palo of T1. I have ID for my track car & I will be installing them in my street car later on when the need for more fuel happens.
                      Just my 2 cents.

Only thing I wish is that their ID1300s were more reasonably priced. But I see that they put forth the time and $$$ to make them be made, so they're trying to get a return on that.

It just pushes them out of the reach of all but the high HP drag race baller guys most times, when they're the perfect size for a moderate HP E85 turbo 4 banger.

$900 is insane for 4 injectors.

At the same time, if you want to run high boost on E85 with a VE head, I'm not sure there is a real alternative to the 1300s. The 2000s would be operating at extremely low duty cycles and may be a little finicky to get to idle even on stock fuel pressure.

Also, Deatschwerks injectors, just as a price reference, are $640 for 1200s so is ID really that out of line once you've built an engine, turbo, and fuel setup to make use of them? Another $260 is a drop in the bucket when you have $6-8k or more in everything else.

Yep, it is. Even dealer cost on ID1300's is cray-cray.

The DW don't carry as good of a margin, so I wasn't really considering them. Plus I trust ID more than DW based on what I've seen. I know early DW modded injectors were a nightmare to tune. Been there, done that.

I figure ID1000s plus a reasonable base pressure can belt out 500 rwhp on E85 or very very close to it. That's good enough for me for any sort of a trackable turbo.

Big HP drag cars should just go ID2000's and then worry about feeding them with lots of pump capacity.

The ID1300's just make things easier and give a definite amount of headroom for the average boosted 4 banger on E85, but I think you can still do lots of things with ID1000's and more pressure.

Definitely not getting into the DW battle, but Cobb did find them reliable enough to write an AP for several of their injectors.

I have no idea what I will go with when the time comes, but my current 810s won't cut it. I think 500whp will be more than enough to make any S chassis car not on full slicks entertainingly fast though.
