  • Larger Exhaust - Re-Tune Required?

I was thinking of increasing diameter from 2.5" to 3" piping on my S14 w/ S13 SR20DET. It's currently running a RS-Enthalpy ROM tune and I'm wondering if it needs a re-tune. I'm into quiet exhausts or possibly removable silencers since I drive the car long distances to HPDE's. Thank you.

    Car info:

15 lbs of boost on a rebuilt T25. OEM turbo manifold with GReddy down pipe and 3" test pipe.

    Current exhaust:

BRM 2.5" Catback with 22" resonator (Magniflow)

    3" options under consideration:

    HKS Sport
    ISIS MBSE
Apexi Noir (not sure if the WS2 or Evolution Hybrid Megaphone are still available)
    Full Custom

    Thanks again.

    No, it will be fine.

It's a maf car, it can compensate quite a bit.

    I wouldn't run a t25 @ 15psi, but that's me.

        Thank you.

FYI - It's not a typical T25. The rebuild included upgraded journal bearings and other items that I can't remember. It was done by Boost Lab in Tampa. Seems to be holding up fine so far.

I spoke with Martin at RS-Enthalpy after posting and he confirmed that the extra 1/2" would not require a re-tune.
