Some new developments on this while NRR has been down. I found that the ultra-cheap Maxspeedingrods coilovers are all M55x2. I purchased a set of S14 coils to verify (then promptly chopped them up and made them work on an SW20 with the housings). Only negative on the Maxspeedingrods was that they used 70 mm springs - which all the stuff would work on the Konis as is, but if you wanted to run common 2.5" springs you'd need new spring perches on the housing, and up top that the springs sit on. Also - rears put springs against the top mount with a rubber gasket like most <$2k coilovers, which isn't horrible for a more budget minded setup, but if you wanted max performance out of them I'd put a spring hat on and get a top mount with a spherical bearing.
But this at least gives people a great option to buy $250-300/set coilovers and gut all the M55x2 stuff off them, or even just upgrade to 861x in stages (like fronts first, running cheapies in the rear, then go Koni 861x in the rear etc.).
I have 7 left (8 if you include a olive drab anodized production sample), but could look into making more if people are interested and we can get a group of at least 10 people together.

Def that is so cool, nice to see you using those on the SW as you had hoped.
Here is my setup, 8610 all four corners: (figured I would post something since I got it all together)
8610
Def sport sleeves
Stance collars, seats, boots, and front lower mount. (could also use stance rear Z32 lower mount but not s13)
KTS rear lower mount
Ground control helper springs
Eibach springs ~ 9/5K ( I think, they were gifted to me)
Techno Toy Tuning front upper mount and upper spring perch
Techno Toy Tuning rear upper spring perch
Tein rear upper mount.
Swift 2.5" Thrust washers/sheets or whatever they are called
I am currently running these with Cusco arms, T3 FCA, Stock RLCA, GkTech front drift/grip knuckles (5* ackerman...interesting), and stock rear knuckles ( I do plan to get GkTech rear knuckles someday).
I am still shaking down the car, I need to play with it more, I changed from almost stock suspension to basically racecar parts.
But for sure the car is bananas now, I need some track time...where I can really sort it out.
Cheers!
