    Payment Details

Payment is due Friday 2-18. Please paypal $325 per set of bearings to [email protected]

Please note your screen name, what the payment is for (i.e. 1 set, or 2 sets of RUSBs), and what your address is just to double check against your confirmed paypal address.

    Overview

    It's time for another one!

The famous DefSport/Skullworks Z32 rear upright spherical bearings. This GB is going to be for just the toe/traction/camber pivots (or TTC for short). These are sold in sets where each set gives you six sets of bearings to replace the toe/traction/camber bushings in your Z32 rear uprights.

Since Mike at Skullworks loves it so much, we're planning to up the material to 2024-T351 for both the bearing shell and misalignment bushings. This is the EXACT same stuff they use in fighter jet bulkheads - it's that beast kids!

The bearings are QA-1 teflon lined bearings with load ratings of 19,785 lbs EACH! I've been running a set for about 2500 track miles with no discernable wear. They are user serviceable, so if you do experience wear in the future, just pop out the snap rings, and the bearings press right out and back in. The type used is any -8 sized (1/2") bearing with a 1.000" OD. I recommend the COM-8T.

The bearing sleeves themselves press right into your Z32 uprights like any other bushing/bearing. Z32 NA cars use the same bearing in all three location, this is what is recommend. Z32 TT's have a larger bore on just the toe arm location, and will need bearing adhesive like Loctite 620 (not supplied) for installation. DefSport recommends you source Z32 NA rear uprights for a spherical bearing installation.

This set of bearings uses 1/2" bolts and locking nuts to replace your existing nuts and bolts on the upright side. Most arms require no modification (like SPL arms), but some arms need a very slight bit of material removed with a 1/2" drill bit. This is a very minor modification, and any cordless or corded drill with a 1/2" bit can go through through the minimal amount of material removed (less than 0.010" in most cases). The bolts use the stock 19mm wrench size to keep things the same as the previous Nissan suspension bolts, but are over 12% stronger.

    Pricing

$325 shipped anywhere in the US for the TTC set of bearings!

    Group Buy Schedule

I'm starting an interest list, please copy and place your name in if you're interested. This will stay open for about 3 weeks, then payment is expected. I expect the bearings to arrive 3 weeks after that, and I will ship them out promptly in the order I received payments. Tentative cutoff on the sign up list is 2/25.

Def, will you have a batch for shock mount bearings?

I have a few sets of the shock mount bearings on hand right now. I've had them at a blowout price of $150 shipped for a while now with little interest. The sales on those have been so slow don't think I'll ever make any more.

Feel free to PM me if you're interested in some shock mounts, as I can ship out immediately.

I'm surprised there's been little interest in the shock mounts. They probably make the biggest difference considering the z32 fork mount doesn't exactly line up perfectly (leaving you with a ton of bushing bind/ preload).

Anyways, my full set is still going strong. I strongly recommend this product. If only they allowed spherical bearings in ST...

Rear shock mount bearings I'm not sure if I'm building rear shocks or going with full race shocks, so I'll hold off for a few weeks.

All shock mount bearings have been spoken for. I guess I should have just posted up a TTC bearing GB earlier. hah
