z33 reverse light switch

I'm tracking down a few things to finish my z33 transmission swap.....



I'm looking for the connector for the reverse switch on the transmission

Does polarity matter with this switch or does it complete the circuit when closed?

generally those just complete the circuit when closed. check the FSM to make sure that it's not grounded on one pin or anything.
Then again, that's easy enough to test with a multimeter.

Yeah I'm at work so I'm chair surfing for answers... I'm hoping that someone who's in the know can help.

My main concern is the plug which I'm having a hard time finding the connector for. I'm playing with the idea of chopping it up and turning it into pigtail....(soldering and using marine shrink tube to seal it.)

Ummm, just go to a junkyard or call Z1 or someone who parts out Zs and have them cut off the connector w/ 6" of wire?

I bet any Nissan gear switch would fit. Just get one off a KA and see if it threads in and closes. Then get the corresponding connector.

Update: I managed to find a junk yard that let's you take the cut harness of the transmission.

Does polarity matter with this switch or does it complete the circuit when closed?
Updated: The reverse sensor is literally a switch that completes the circuit.

The neutral switch...well its a switch. So polarity is not any issue.

Both connectors were added to the harness with an additional 12in.
