  • Suspension availability?

Well we might have a 4 car team oversea for touring car series, and most likely with the older model Versa 1.6. Now we having issue finding a good suspension solution for this car, I don't have much experiences with Versa previously.

So does anyone knows where can possible make a few good sets for this model, that is good to handle racing duty? Normally about 75km per race with slicks, and car is under 2400lbs, all control arms will be stock. I prefer at lease 2 way adjustment, and since 1.6 motor have to be fully stock and not much power, weight needs to be as light as possible.

Wondering if there is any shops or company that does this kind work?

    Thanks guys

Nothing off the shelf is likely to be worth a damn. You could fab something up front with Koni 8611s, that's the cheapest you'll get into double adjustable a.

You could always call up some place like JRZ with an open pocket book, but I'm assuming you're asking for something not quite so dear. Or maybe you are???

I still have no idea about exact team budget, most likely not much enough to get JRZ, just 1 set per season should be fine, but am worried there will be lots bumping and damage. I called KW and see if they can make 2 way competition for this car and they said no.

Why not fabricate something for Koni 8611 or 8610s then? The hard part is threading the tube, then after that you just need someone competent with a mig welder. I'm thinking it uses struts up front right? Then just go with the best off the shelf shock you can make work like a Koni yellow or bilstein in the rear. Any pics of stock dampers?

Yes I was thinking about Koni as well, that's why I am asking here to see if you guys can refer anyone or shop good at doing this? If not far I can provide a car for measurement and data use, I don't wanna something just fit on it, I also want someone good at chassis engineering can help design and set this up right.

          Thanks Def

Ground Control will probably do it if you pay them a small fortune.

Take some measurements and pics of the stock struts and where they attach to the spindle/upright front and rear. You never know, something off the shelf might work well.
