I lost a cv joint in spring and replaced with new aftermarket shafts. they didn't last but about 20 laps. Replaced again but cleaned and repacked with redline cv grease. I haven't pulled the shafts yet but felt like one is starting to vibrate. Any ideas on where to get better shafts?

You need an IT-compliant one, correct?
Might contact Mike Ogren out of Florida (Look on the IT or Prod racing forums) he typically does VW stuff, but might know where to get nissan-compatible parts or do the work for you..Originally posted by SoSidewaysI don't care what color they are as long as they are LONG AND HARD.

Yup, that's my understanding of the problem.. They machine everything to fit a larger ball and remove the slop, but then they don't heat treat everything afterwards. maybe the solution is to just take some parts store axles and then have them re-treated locally. (watch out for REM finishing cause that be illegal... but I have heard of local SM folks doing it for that extra 0.02sec.)Originally posted by SoSidewaysI don't care what color they are as long as they are LONG AND HARD.
