Well, I sold the 'VE swapped G20 which was my old daily. Loved the car, but I wanted to get something that was a bit larger, more modern, and safer (basically, a "Dad" car, lol). So I settled on a 2007 Subaru Legacy Spec B. Yes, I know, "ringlands"...
The first things I did to the car were to help address some the reliability issues of these cars, so it promptly got a larger oil pan, extended pickup tube, and baffle plate. Also threw on an air oil seperator and larger radiator w/ new hoses. Switched to a somewhat equal length header, new up pipe, down pipe, and a nice quiet exhaust (the G20 was a lessons learned car of being too loud for a daily). Threw a Cobb AP on there and it tuned in at 248hp/311tq on the stock VF46 turbo. I did throw some RE71Rs/Kosei wheels on it and some whiteline anti-roll bars (for now). I have more suspension goodies either waiting to be installed or ordered, but a track day came up, so I went out anyways, ha ha.
The car is heavy, so it's pretty slow in a straight line, but I didn't do too bad even with the mostly stock tired suspension (and worn out bushings). Did the local time attack series and did ok all things considering (figured I'd be dead last everywhere, but I wasn't, lol). Posted the results below.
