quick (possibly dumb) question

I have what I'm told is a stock s15 turbo manifold and turbo elbow. Doug at UP Garage in Tacoma said that he thinks s14/s15 manifolds and elbows are the same.

Anyone know for sure?

They should be identical....the only big difference between the S14 and S15 SR turbo set ups is the S15 has a cast divider between the wastegate and exhaust wheel, and the S15 turbo is a full ball bearing (compressor and exhaust) turbo, where as the S14 only has bearings on the compressor side.

I went from my stock T25 to a S15's T28. The exhaust elbo is the same. The elbo on the Intercooler pipe side has a different angle to it. The turbo has different clocking. The oil line also needed a differnt fitting to clear the steering linkage.

Well crap. I thoguht it was better.

Shows me for buying parts without researching.

The elbow looks less restrictive than the s13 one, but that's just from eyeballing it.

I figured the manifold would be an upgrade if I ever replaced my t25 with something else and retain factory reliability. Now I just want the money lol

The S13 mani should have a EGR thing on it, I know my S14 manifold does not....that could be a selling point?

S13 SR manifolds have no EGR stuff. You talking about the AIV outlet on the elbow?

Yeah, it has the aiv plug, too, just like s13 elbow.

I haven't paid for it, just owe money for it.

Gonna tell him that it's the same as the other stock manifolds and to take it back :P
