Securing throttle plate screws?

I have made some custom seals for my TB not to leak under boost.
Time for assembly.

What is the proper way of securing the throttle plate screws? I've heard a few horror stories of screws coming loose and finding there way into the engine.
IIRC the guy claimed he had used thread lock!

Any ideas?

The shafts have a nasty habit of snapping when you change the pulley out and more bending moment is imposed on it. Screw goes down the hole no matter what you do then.

I'd use threadlocker at a minimum. Tack weld if you want to nuke it from orbit.

I guess I can TIG them in place. But I'm a bit worried I will loose all the tension in the screws. There is no thread in the plate itself, it's just sandwiched in the shaft. If the tension is lost the plate will be loose.

Torque it - then run over the head and end of the screw threads with the TIG at fairly low amps. Just enough to get some fusion.

How could it lose tension after that?

I welded mine just as Def described. Haven't had an issue since.
