  • Helper spring causing sound?

I have helper springs in the rear to prevent droop. I also have a creaking sound in the rear. Could this be the helper spring rubbing itself while fully compressed?

Yes. It could also be a gnome doing the same thing

Typically they're silent once they're blocked. Maybe hit it with some silicone spray or something to see if it still creaks?

i think the gnome has been sent into hiding. used some dry lube (teflon) spray on the helpers with the suspension unloaded. after a few sessions and a rain session the squeaking is gone! goodbye old box spring sound for now.
