    Thought I'd add a thread in the 240sx section for general discussion.

    - 10:1 CR with lightweight pistons and rods
    - O-ring deck
    - Race bearings
    - Custom high-lift NA cams
    - Shimless buckets
    - ATI damper
    - Custom under-drive crank and water pump pullies
    - Xcessive Mfg intake manifold and cast upper oil pan
    - Tomei lower pan
    - 90mm TB
    - 4-2-1 header
    - 5.5" QM twin-disc clutch

      Not sure. Need to wait and see if there are any changes to the rules for next yr.

      Hope someone is interesting in the complete engine cause I'd hate to part it out.

          Please define the 2 complete spare engines thing? Still stock spares I guess?

          I just have this feeling I couldn't swing the whole package, wait - phrasing, that came out wrong. Point is, I have a trailer to save up for so nothing will happen from my wants here.

            One complete stock running engine and one complete stock running engine, which needs a new head gasket.

            I understand....it is a large package !

            I'm not even sure what I'm doing yet. But wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone was interested, which would push my decision a specific way.

              Well.....if nobody is interested in the complete drivetrain than very soon I'll have a lot of hot rod parts in great shape for sale!

                How well would your 5.5" clutch setup hold up to hard launches?

                  Twin disc clutch in my Miata cannot be launched, hah. Maybe if I had launch control I could launch it. Otherwise it's either wheelspin or bogging. I believe I did exactly one autocross after I had it installed.

                  Assuming you could launch it with launch control, it will probably still be indestructible.

                    I don't see why it wouldn't hold up fine. As minspd said, the small dual-disc clutch is more like a light switch; on or off. It's job is to not slip, which it does well. However when cold you can slip it a little but when hot.....no way; stall the car or spin the tires. Traction control, which my AEM ECU has, would greatly help the launch because you could let the clutch hook up and control wheel spin by reducing timing or boost or both.
