  • Differiantial setup question

    I have a 96 q45 diff with the 6-bolt 30-spline axles setup.

I wondering if the output shafts are also 30 spline.

If they are then what aftermarket lsd options are out there for a 30 spline r200?

Q45 diff is the same as the Z32 TT diff, so KAAZ is an option, but they only make a 2-way LSD.

      hmmm

So my diff options have shrank tremendously...

I was hopping to find a cheap obx for the r230 and wpc treat it like I did my r200....

I guess this is the only option for a helical/torsen differential

      Quaife QDF12L ATB Differential....

Unless you're drag racing or drifting with really sticky tires/big horsepower, I don't think the R200 or the axles that go with them will hurt you any, and by going with a regular R200 diff you open the door to many other options as far as diffs and axles go, both OEM and aftermarket.

I will be going to local strip quite a bit. The car I'm putting these on should be making around 450-475.

I have both setups available but I felt those numbers would be a little too close to the r200 limits.

Are there any options for cv axles with the 3x2 pattern versus te regular tripod axles? That is the weakest point of the r200 in my experience.

If you're breaking stock axles at the CV joints, then get this:

              http://www.driveshaftshop.com/import...w-6-bolt-inner

If you're breaking the above axles at the CV joints, you might have to step up to these:

Lol at those prices. 999/30 per pair of OEM axles means I could break 67 axles before breaking even.

I might consider if they were 300 a set.. They are on crack.

5x1 axles are cv style are they not? There's gotta be a way to adapt the z32 axles to a r200 hlsd.

Mazworx used to sell an Axle kit but people would break the output shaft... Not sure that's still the case though.

Seeing how I have diff and 300zx/q45 axles already it seems to make more sense at this point to just eat it and buy the kaaz or quaife.
