  • S14 rear lower control arm ball joint

    What have you guys used or do you know the correct part number

    I do not want to buy a whole arm

    I do not wan roll center adjusters

    I want oem quality ball joint

    Please help I'll give you a hug

    I replaced mine. I think I just asked for replacement parts at autozone and got Moog. Relatively easy swap with a press.

      S14 Front/Rear (moog K9820)
      Taper low diameter 15mm
      Taper High diameter 18.6mm
      Taper length 23mm
      Diameter where it presses in 41mm

      S13 Front (Moog K9509)
      Taper low diameter 15.8mm
      Taper High diameter 18mm
      Taper length 19.5mm 20mm
      Diameter where it presses in 41mm

      S13 Rear (moog K9633 [b12 front])
      Taper low diameter 15mm
      Taper High diameter 18.6mm
      Taper length 23mm or 23.5
      Diameter where it presses in 38mm
      S12 || N13 || S13 || B16

        What are you guys replacing the bushings with? Ball joints are listed but what are bushing options?

          I did polyurethane for the rlca, reamed the inside of the bushings out with a dremel and sanding drum to the point where I could push in the inner metal sleeve with minimal hand effort to reduce binding

            Either that or Nismo bushings if u can find em.

              The S14 front LCA ball joint is a direct replacement for the rear LCA. I did it and have been running the car like that for several years.

                I did pretty much the same thing, but I turned down the inner metal sleeve on the lathe for the same effect. I also added some spiral grooves to the inside of the polly part of the bushing.

                still has some clearance overlap after pressing it in, but i think it'll work a lot better with things opened up a bit on it.
