I didn't see any pics in the old threads but this should help.

Here I was thinking about doing something similar and someone posts a link to someone who has already done it. This is why this site rules lol.

There's a tube front end thread on Zilvia as well oddly enough. I'm not saying it's a solid resource, but there are a number of different techniques you can use for ideas. I'd be wary about doing it though unless you have to, it usually bumps you into an astronomically high class and it's debatable on how beneficial it is.

Not too worried about classing. At the rate my build going it's gonna have at least another year and end up more like a GT car than something I can race against people on the weekend.

I went through the site and unfortunately I did not find the detail photos of the front end build

This thread WOULD have had it... but all the images were taken down

It works for me so I don't know what's wrong. Just go to fatmanracing.com, projects, pink1, and click "2010 build". Second post down is a bunch of pictures of "the new front suspension construction".

If we didn't have to go to a tube front end, I wouldn't have. I can't see a real benefit with what we have over stock.
Up classing is right, as well. In most sanctioning bodies a mod like this puts you in whatever their unlimited class is.
In the first incarnation of the front for this car, we trimmed a bit here and there where it was practical. Had it not been for the wreck, I would have just tweaked that a bit further without going this extreme. It's more of a pain than it's worth. On the S chassis you can find a thousand other more beneficial things to improve.
I've been working on the car since August replacing the front wheel tubs and cleaning some stuff up around the front. Suspension mounting points are being modified a bit, as well. Really, it's a whole new car...guess I should start a proper thread...

Also, go ahead and ask Bill who's getting the first copy of that incredible intake he's building... Can't wait.
