Gutting the inside and taking out the crash bar gets you within a few pounds of an FRP door. The glass is the heaviest part of it.

        Derek is a good dude

My buddy Miro has them on his LS powered S13 that is his DMCC car. He hates them now, went back to metal doors so he can roll the windows up & down.

Watch eBay. I remember there being a company on there who made FRP doors for $450-550 bucks. They're, of course, not the highest of quality but a friend runs them on his race car and says they're worth the price.

Touge Factory used to have some. I think they are the US distributor for Origin Labs.

Cut all the guts out of the middle and the door bar. swiss cheese the hinges and any other structural part that can be lightened. I saw that on a retired World Challenge car a few weeks ago, and the whole door weighed maybe 10-15 lbs.

Aerokits.net / Chaser Aero has S13 FRP doors, but they don't have an S14 app.

                I haven't seen S14 ones.

I think most people with an S chassis think FRP is the lightest thing in the world. With cheap parts you're talking about a per square foot weight of pretty close to steel with all the resin and chopped strand mat.

A lightened stock steel part usually isn't that far from them, and it only seems like a big weight savings when they throw out the window, door bar, and all the window roll up stuff which weighs far more than the stock door.
