tension rod mounting

  • tension rod mounting

    so i got all my suspension installed the other night and with the car on the ground the tension rod is mounted with an incline. if i mount it on the lower side of the arm it will mount straight (ive heard of people doing this) is there any negitive effects of this.

    don't worry about that one being inclined. it moves on the same pivot path whether it's above or below the control arm, so there's no actual change in anything but appearance.

      cool i didnt know if it messed with any geometry being inclined vs parallel

        no, that's just the control arm itself. this doesn't make near the difference, if any. it's down in the noise of "there's a whole lot of other problems with a McStrut car. worry about other stuff."
