  • Flywheel resurfacing and step

After scouring all the usual places and reading a lot of conflicting info, I'm asking the experts :

Does the factory SR flywheel have a step machined into it?

I have an ACT Prolite flywheel and I'm swapping out my Exedy Stage 2 for a South Bend OFE setup while the motor is out -- wanted to get the flywheel resurfaced but not 100% sure if it needs a step or not (it feels like it has one).

    Thanks!

I wasn't sure if KA and SR had the same specs, that's why I'm asking

I have a bad pdf of s14 sr but it's not very easy to navigate.

Let me know how the SouthBend setup goes I too am looking at one. I think my pressure plate or a spring kicked the bucket today. This will be my second one. Can't fault JWT 100%, as it does hold well...it's just not very robust.

          Yeah, will do for sure.

My exedy stage 2 with the 10lb prolite flywheel is a complete chattery mess. The OFE will hold more and should be perfectly smooth (hoping!).

They actually sent me the wrong disc, so the new one should be here Wed. As soon as it gets here motor is going in the new shell.
