I need to add a pin to a blank spot on my ecu plug. For the life of me i can get the freshly crimped ecu pin to slide in...

Searched for a while got a whole bunch of fwd and rwd wiring how to's that talked about splicing....

I just need to slip two new pins into blank spots....

Did you flip up the terminal lock first ?

If so you could have the pin upside down, or 90* off either way, or the wrong pin for the location.

Would that be the metal tab in the center? I saw plastic tabs in the front of the plug right after i posted. I'm guessing that's whats needed to insert or removed pins.

What ecu plug is this ? I'm guessing SR here..

You have to flip up the little plastic tab on each bank before you can insert or remove a terminal.

The plastic retainer inside the connector doesnt need to be messed with to insert a terminal, only to remove.

It's a red-top ecu 62 i believe. I ended up taking a safety pin and pushing the plastic door forward.
