  • Are Z32 Rear Caliper Bolts different from S14?

I'm finally getting around to putting Z32 calipers on the rear of my S14. First problem is that the S14 bolts that hold the caliper on the knuckle aren't threading into the Z32 calipers. Do I need Z32 bolts & washers?

They should just be 10mm x 1.25 bolts. nothing too special. I thought they were the same as the S14 bolts. If they don't fit, take the calipers to the parts store and go through their fine thread metric stuff until you find ones that fit.

OK, thanks. I checked the bolt and the caliper and they were both 10x1.25 so I ran a tap through the caliper. I think the threads were a little rough from the rebuild. They are on now.

Ahh. yeah, those things are just tossed in a huge bin at the rebuilder, and I've seen a lot of them come back with dinged up threads, and some even had bent mounting ears so they wouldn't bolt up to the car at all. definitely give them a close inspection if you're getting reman calipers.
