  • Is there a coolant drain plug on the KA block?

There's one on each side of a VG engine, but haven't seen one on the KA. Don't see one in the FSM either- or at least it's not mentioned in the cooling system section.

I'm flushing the coolant and want to get all the nasties out if I can..

yeah if you follow the motor mount bracket to the block on the drivers side just above and towards the firewall from the uppermost and rearmost boss there is a drainplug

No wonder I couldn't find it the first 5 tries.. My Hotshot header sits about 3/4" in front of it. what a MFPITA to get out. I'm glad I did though cause there was a ton of nasty brown sludge that came out with it, even though I'd flushed the block for 10+ minutes with the hose.

I knew that KA was all clean and assembled sitting like a show queen on the stand for 6 months for a reason...so i could verify drain plug location for Matt...

LOL I'm glad you built yourself a clean and shiny KA just to use it for my educational benefit.
