  • 3 piece sway bar setup?

Has anyone used one on an S-chassis? I'm looking at it as an option since the LS motor causes clearance issues with stock type bars. The other two options for clearance are relocation blocks (pushes front of bar down/forward to the point of making the TC rods hit the bar) or a reshaped god knows what spring rate bar from chinaland.

I'll have to look at it some more, but it seems I could hole saw through the frame rails and weld in sleeves to run the bar through. Any suggestions of the size/rate of bar to run?

The Dentsport car has a splined bar with separate arms on it. Bill cut out a bit of the framerail to mount them in front of where the tension rod brackets bolt on.

Sikky (sp?) makes a sway bar that'll fit an s14 (maybe an s13 too) sway bar onto an LS swapped 240. I took my sway bar and flipped it and had custom end links made so the sway bar could clear the oil pan. I also use stock mounting points for it. Downside though, is my wheels used to come close to grinding the way bar, but that's if you go full lock, and in road racing I never did. Just an option nontheless.

The problem I have with the Sikky bar is that it's just a generically made bar with no other options. The 3 piece bar would give the ability to actually change bars while still clearing everything.

I just looked up the dentsport setup and that looks similar to what I had originally thought would work. I just need to figure out how large of a bar to run as a baseline setup.
