Metric bolt threads are standard in most of the world other than the US and UK.
Pipe threads are British Standard in most of the world other than the US.
Most Asian and European cars use British Standard Pipe Taper for tapered-thread fittings on intake and cooling system sensors and for threaded plugs in the oil system on the block. Most Asian aftermarket sensors (Apexi, Greddy, Def'i etc.) are BSPT.
Most better quality metric tap&die sets comes with a 1/8" BSPT tap but if you need any other size they're rare and expensive in the US.
I've recently obtained a set from the UK (1/8"x27, 1/4"x19, 3/8"x19 & 1/2"x14)
For my NRR friends I'm willing to lend them (with a security deposit to my paypal account) and will return the deposit, less paypal fees and postage, when the items are returned in good condition. No need to respond to this post. Just PM me if you need them.
