  • Fuel Return Line Restrictor

There is a small fuel line restrictor in the return line. Do I need this with an aftermarket FPR?

    Just a small question. Thanks.

If it is a quality FPR (Aeromotive, Nismo, SARD, etc) I don't see why you would need/want a secondary restrictor.

I figured as much. There were two of them in the return line. It was the OEM S14 SR one. I hadn't seen them ever before.

Every OE SR20RWD I have seen used those little restrictors inside the return line. Its common practice to take them out when going to a higher flow rate pump if you keep the OE FPR in place, and yes, when going to aftermarket FPR it serves no usage.

OE pump without that restrictor often shows a little fluctuation in fuel pressure every now and then, with it in its dead stable.
