I have looked into this slightly but personally couldn't find anything for less than $2000+. What did you come up with? I was going to rummage around the local aircraft supply and find some used landing gear hydraulics and modify them.
Most teams I have seen using air jacks just use a nitrogen bottle. And having a bottle around for impact guns, airtools and tire fillings is pretty common.
"oil lift" or is that a typo? Im assuming you mean the aircraft landing gear stuff? They are meant to be hydraulic using oil but work great pneumatically also. Yes, for most purpose built race cars the body / aero is only inches off the ground so there isn't enough room to slide a jack under the car. So cut outs in the body work or post holes to stuff a jack point in are required, OR you use air jacks that are built into the car. Simply connect an air hose and the car raises. From what I have read a typical system adds about 30 - 40 lbs to the car.
I thought about it, but the weight was a big downer, plus it's very tough to do effectively without a cage in the car due to the front mounting points.

At $320 each, they weigh 5 lbs apiece and lift 1200 lbs 9 inches.
I recently Repaired a set of the airjacks that come on everyone's fav german GT3 car from the factory for a team which asked us not to name them, We added a threaded sleeve over the outside of the part to increase the section thickness per their request,
(anyone ever seen a flying squirrel with thick scaly skin)
The design was "solid" and very few failures have been noted, however when the part did fail it had potential to kill the crew or driver of the car, this was a heavily engineered and well built piece coming from one of (if not the) best auto manufacturers in the world, Ksport is not in the same league,
90psi isn't gonna lift your car those jacks are rated at 28kg/cm which is 400psi (mas or menos)
Please Please PLEASE dont anyone consider putting these near their car or anyone they love

By part failure are you talking about the car falling to the ground unexpectedly or are you talking about a more catastrophic explosion of the cans or a 400psi line bursting or something? I gave up on the air jack idea a long time ago but am still curious.
