s14 condenser fan

I'm in the process of removing the A/C from my s14. Now that I've pulled the condenser, is the electric condenser fan needed anymore? If I leave the fan there and connect its motor harness back, will the fan still turn on when I press the A/C button? (If so I might just keep this fan for extra cooling when needed.)

So yes, the secondary fan still kicks in when I turn on the AC. I'm keeping the fan for now.

All AC components and mounting hardware, including the evaporator core (minus its plastic box), add up to 38 lbs (weighed with a 25lb spring scale and summed up)
