  • S14 compatible diff covers?

I have a J30 diff cover that's finned. I was told the early J30's had the finned covers and the later ones were smooth. The ebay ads for Greddy say their cover fits the S14/15, the 90-96 300zx and the 92-96 J30. http://lh6.ggpht.com/ijalob/SEp9ZS86...jpg?imgmax=512

I read that the Z32 diff covers also fit? excellent!

Greddy diff covers are really expensive! I did find one seller on Fleabay selling them for $290 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GREDD...Q5fAccessories

Here's something for relatively cheap. Rumor has it they have problems with porosity. If that's the case you can always paint the inside with industrial epoxy before you use that. I've done that with neanderthal sand-cast industrial pump parts and it works. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ALUM-...item3ca8e4ce26

i think if not using a used oem one.. the step above would be aknock off greddy which can be had for like 150 ish on fleabay... exact same thing as greddy one minus the greddy logo.

That's what im thinking of going with

Unless it is like some of the knock-off oil pans, that were made with such pourous metal that oil would seep through

Part Number: 38351-40P01, Diff Cover Finned

I Just got off the phone with the dealership, and the Finned Z32 cover (Part number above) will only cost 120 (or was it 130 i forget) dollars 'street price', and 87 jobber cost (if you have this ability, only price I was concerned about).

To me, it's not worth the risk of the 'Freddy/Cheapie' pan, when you can get the OE unit for less.

I made a WTB thread on Zilvia to see what pops up in the next day or so, if not, then I'm ordering it from Nissan. Nice factory upgrade, good price!

          Please don't support that industry.

If anyone is interested in the OE one, member "traxx07" on Zilvia has one.

I purchased one via UnisaJecs, 50 shipped. Perfect. Maybe you can PM him as well to see if he has any others laying around.

EDIT: I have one for sale now as well

^ the one you linked to is for the z32 TT, which has a r230 diff ie. bigger pumpkin. I think we need the z32 NA cover.

Here's the link to the NA version but there's no picture. It's $87.57

Courtesy sucks donkey balls. WAY too many bad experiences with them in the past. I'll never order anything from them again.
I get same or better pricing locally at Sterling McCall or from Southpoint Nissan in Austin. Not to mention the 35% off at Mossy when we have car shows.

Haha, I've heard that plenty of times. I can't say the same, as I've actually had decent experiences with them (although I've only used them few times at most)...

I remember with FWD we'd always deal with Blair or Vogel hehe. Or local for easily found stuff.

I thought it was the S13 VLSD cover, looks similiar to the one Cody posted on the previous page.

                              This is mine...
