it wouldn't even need to be that accurate. the rear shock doesn't determine any geometry like the front. and if you've gotten this far, you probably have length adjustable coilovers that can correct any slight variation in height from side to side.

The welding doesn't look very strong since I'm betting the weak link will be the bottom weld bead which is in shear and bending.
And it looks stupid.

what about using something like this?
That way, you don't have to chop up your shock towers.
